About Us
Howley Grange Scout Group
Established in the late 1950’s the group has been on its present site since that date, several developments to the building and site (and further developments planned), has kept the site moving forward with regards to the social and community requirements.
Over the last ten years there has been considerable fund raising completed, and as a result the extension to the hut was added, giving us ability to extend activities for the members of the group but also to the wider Halesowen groups of the area. Landscaping the outside space was a priority, and is an ongoing project, having recently added a new shelter to make the space more available during the whole year.
The group colours are represented in the neckerchief with the green and the ‘gold’ half and half, but also our badge with the group emblem of the Owl attached.
We currently run sections for the Beavers, Cub Scouts and the Scouts (please refer to the specific sections on this website for more details), we welcome contact from groups and associates outside of scouting to contact us.
At the moment we are looking for further members of the group to become part of the committee of the group. We meet regularly to discuss matters of the group, development plans, and how we can help the group move forward. Fresh ideas and opinions are always sort after.
We also have a great team of people who put themselves out for the different sections of the group, organising events and activities that support the young members achieving all that they can.. if you feel you could also be part of this, and help with support to meetings/events/activities please feel free to contact us to see what we can do together.. full training and support will be given to anyone that feels that they can help.
We would also welcome contact from organisations outside of the scouting group that could feel they have something to offer and allow our young members to experience something that they wouldn’t normally do, then again please feel free to contact us.
